I had the most incredible stay at this hidden gem in New Zealand. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the attention to detail and the thoughtfulness of the hosts. The cottage I stayed in was immaculate and had everything I could possibly need. I especially loved the beautiful outdoor patio area where I could relax and take in the stunning surroundings. The location was peaceful and picturesque, exactly what I was hoping for. I also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and access to all the TV channels, including Netflix. my experience at Birchgrove Cottages exceeded all expectations and I can't wait to recommend it to everyone I know.

Free WiFi , parking was sooo convenient, and the cottage was clean and cozy. Loved having a TV to binge-watch my favorite shows. Didn't have to worry about strangers, it was just me and my party.

The cottage was situated close to a road, which resulted in some traffic noise during the day. While it wasn't a significant disturbance, it was not what we had anticipated for a country getaway.

The one negative aspect was that the cottage lacked some privacy due to its proximity to the main house and the large windows.

Mind-blowing extras: mini bottled wine, sewing kit, juice, food pack; plus gorgeous house plants. Super clean, friendly hosts, best value for money. Next to golf course. Jaw-dropping comfort and privacy of a fully equipped private apartment with outdoor dining area. Highly recommend!

We had a one night stay at Birchgrove Cottages and were warmly welcomed by the hosts. The accommodation was exceptional, with immaculate presentation and extensive facilities. The garden added to our breakfast enjoyment on the patio. The cottages are private and beautifully presented, with comfortable beds and amazing shower pressure. The couple who owns the cottages were hospitable and even upgraded us to a two-bedroom cottage, leaving us a bottle of wine for our honeymoon. The location was safe and beautiful, and we regretted not having more time to relax and enjoy the outdoor patio furniture.

Fully equipped kitchen: The cottage had a kitchen that was more equipped than a superhero's utility belt. With a dishwasher, oven, and microwave, preparing meals felt like a breeze. I even managed to whip up a gourmet feast for myself, feeling like a master chef in my own little paradise.

Misleading host: The host surprised us by asking us to check out a day earlier than initially promised, as she had received a longer reservation. It forced us to scramble for alternative accommodation on our last day in Whangarei.
